So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and
Growing up in a tiny farmer’s village situated north of the Sea of Galilee, my country
surroundings allowed me to find a unique connection to the land. I spent most of my childhood learning to love and harvest nature’s freshest and finest.
Turning that love into a passionate career brought on great adventures, from head chef at top restaurants around the world, to heading a top catering company in San Francisco & Silicon
Valley. Seeing my son turn one sparked a desire to go back to waking up before the crack of dawn, go to the local market and inhale the aromatic smells of fresh produce as inspiration to start my
There was no one I’d rather do it with than my brothers-in-law. One having an international background, and years upon years of management experience, The other finishing three years of service
and a year backpacking around the world. I asked them both to move to the other side of the world so that we can take this ride together, so that we can bring you amazingly healthy smoothies so
that we can make your day healthier… fresher… sweeter!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been an interesting ride! Smoothie Rider began as a smoothie food truck 2 years ago. We recently opened our first brick and mortar in Liberty Public Market! We’re navgiating our way and
enjoying every minute!
Smoothie Rider – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the
We specialize in artisian, handcrafted, and fresh smoothies…and more. Our owner Oren Koreh, is a culinary chef by trade and takes every recipe very seriously.
Everything is tasted daily so that nothing is compromised. All of the fruits and vegetables are cut fresh in the morning, nothing is frozen. We taste the oranges to make sure they are just
perfect for our orange juice, which is the base for many of our smoothies….we pick only the best local fruits and vegetables and serve only what you see on the menu. Nothing is added. We squeeze
the orange juice in the shop and serve it up right there!
We also serve hand crafted overnight oats, yogurt bowls, acai bowls, fresh juice shots, and partner with other like minded businesses and sell their product as well. The atmosphere of Smoothie
Rider, in Liberty Public Market is very welcoming. We’ve created an open and clean space full of bright colors, plants and great energy. We want our customers leaving feeling even better than
they did before they walked in.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined by a smile when they taste our smoothies. Many are scared of the “green”…the DTox, but to see their face when they take a sample, it’s priceless. We want to share our healthy
lifestyle with everyone. And more importantly, our customers become our family and we want to see them again and again.
