Smoothie Rider Press Release

San Diego, July. 25, 2017-- After a year crafting fresh juices and smoothies for San Diego on their food truck, Chef Oren Koreh and his family have opened up a permanent location in Liberty Public Market. Chef Oren Koreh’s menu focuses on mixing sustainable, local produce with the global flavors he acquired as head chef for restaurants around the world.

“Growing up in a tiny farmer’s village,” recounts Chef Koreh, “I learned to love fresh, seasonal produce. After moving to America and having a family, I wanted my own son to experience the joy of going to the local market, inhaling the aromatic smells of the fresh fruits and veggies. Now, Smoothie Rider is my way of bringing that experience to San Diego.”

Working alongside his brothers-in-law, Chef Koreh is partnering with local farms including Rancho Del Sol in East County, Garcia Organic Farms in Fallbrook, and many others (for a full list, visit here) to create a menu that is driven by the quality of the produce that’s delivered. Smoothie Rider is unique in that their recipes will vary based on what’s available that morning.

The permanent location in Liberty Public Market has allowed Chef Koreh to expand his menu beyond smoothies and juices, including bowls and overnight oats. As a foodie-haven, Liberty Public Market is a perfect location for Smoothie Rider. Smoothie lovers will find a mix of classic flavors like orange, banana, acai and peanut butter alongside the unique flavors that set Smoothie Rider apart like kaffir leaves, lavender, and halva, a Middle-Eastern treat made from sesame seeds.
